THE STORY OF
A SINGLE NIGHT.

This is what happens when your dog stays with us. From the moment you drop them off to the moment you pick them up — every detail, no surprises.

// The Schedule

A TYPICAL STAY

5:00 PM
Drop-off & settling in. You bring your dog over, walk us through their quirks, and hand over the leash. Maxine takes it from there.
6:00 PM
Dinner time. Your dog eats on their regular schedule with the food you bring. No substitutions, no surprises — just their usual meal in a new bowl.
7:00 PM
Evening playtime & wind-down. Backyard, living room, couch negotiations with Maxine. The energy level follows the dog — active or chill, we match it.
10:00 PM
Lights out. Cozy sleeping setup. Wherever they want — dog bed, couch, our bed if they're that kind of dog. No crates unless you specifically ask.
7:00 AM
Breakfast & morning walk. Fed first, then out — Roncesvalles, High Park, the lake trail. Photos start coming your way around this time.
10:00 AM
Pickup & daily photo recap sent. Come whenever works for you. We'll tell you everything — what they ate, how they slept, whether they tried to steal Maxine's spot.
Chapter 01 Dog arriving at home
5:00 PM — Arrival

YOU BRING THEM HOME.

Not to a facility. Not to a kennel. To our house in Parkdale — the one with the blue door and the Husky who is already waiting at the window.

You walk in, hand over the leash, go through the details. Feeding times, any medications, the weird thing they do when they hear thunder. We write it all down.

Then you leave. And within about five minutes, Maxine has already made your dog forget you are gone.

Dogs settling in for the evening
6:30 PM — Evening

DINNER.
THEN NOTHING.

Your dog eats on their normal schedule, whatever food you have brought. After that, it is just... a regular evening. Couch. Backyard. The sound of someone making dinner in the kitchen.

This is the part that surprises most people. There is no program. No structured enrichment schedule. Just a home where dogs are allowed to be dogs, and a Husky who is already asleep on the other end of the couch.

The Secret Ingredient

ABOUT MAXINE.

She is our Husky. She has been part of every single boarding stay since the beginning. And somehow — we genuinely do not know how — she makes every dog feel like they have known her forever.

Maxine the Husky — portrait

THE HUSKY WHO RUNS THE SHOW.

Anxious dogs settle. Reactive dogs relax. Fearful dogs learn that another dog in the room is not something to worry about. She does not do anything dramatic. She just exists in a way that makes other dogs feel safe.

Every boarding stay is a collaboration between us and Maxine. We handle the logistics. She handles the feelings.

//01 Greets every new dog at the door without fail
//02 Knows when to play and when to give space
//03 Has a spot on the couch she will absolutely share
//04 Convinced every ball in the house belongs to her
Chapter 03 Dog sleeping peacefully
10:00 PM — Night

WHEREVER THEY
WANT TO SLEEP.

The couch. A dog bed. The floor next to our bed. The actual bed, if they are the type. We do not use crates unless you specifically ask us to.

Most dogs pick a spot by the second night and claim it as their own. Some of our regulars have spots that no other dog is allowed to use. That is just how it works here.

Morning walk through High Park
7:30 AM — Morning

BREAKFAST.
THEN ADVENTURE.

Morning feed first. Then a walk — Roncesvalles, High Park, the lake, wherever makes sense for the weather and the dog. This is when you start getting photos.

Not staged photos. Real ones. Your dog mid-sniff at something fascinating. Your dog and Maxine walking side by side like they have been doing it for years.

Flexible — Pickup

UNTIL NEXT TIME.

Pick up whenever works for you. We will tell you everything — what they ate, how they slept, whether they tried to steal Maxine's spot on the couch.

Most dogs are excited to see you. Some of them look a little conflicted about leaving. We take that as a compliment.
